Instead of using online flower networks that charge a premium for standard packages, try calling the flower shop directly. Because you’ve essentially cut out the middleman, you’ll also cut the price and give yourself a lot more room for negotiation (more on that later).

Simply input a search phrase like “florists in Poughkeepsie” or “florists near [Grandma’s address]” and you’ll get a page of results showing you all the florists in the area along with their phone numbers.
Remember to call them directly to get a better price as many florist’s individual websites are actually linked to the national networks.
